InnoTech Migrates Dolphin 24 User Forums
25-Aug-2020, PAWCATUCK, CT: InnoTech has completed a data migration project for Dolphin 24 which involved migrating several hundred user forums from a legacy WebWiz Forum technology.
The Dolphin 24 website has been utilizing WebWiz Forum software for over a decade, but the infrastructure no longer supported software updates and migrating the forums to a different forum technology was impractical. InnoTech was able to propose, design, and implement a project to migrate the 10+ years of user forum data from Microsoft SQL Server into a series of web pages which can now be managed by the webmaster at Dolphin 24.
Ultimately, this provides a lot of flexibility for the Dolphin24.org website to allow the website to continue to evolve without being dependent on the old forum software with regard to technology and website hosting options.
