Configure your Domain (DNS) for Go Daddy Microsoft 365 Email

There are several DNS settings which need to be applied to your domain configuration in order for your Go Daddy Microsoft 365 Email to function properly. These settings are summarized below, but please refer to your Go Daddy account in the event you have some specific changes which are recommended by Go Daddy.

Setup your Microsoft 365 Email on a variety of devices

You can setup your Microsoft 365 hosted email on all of your devices (computers, tablets, and smartphones) and your mail will always be synchronized across all your devices, including sub-folders and "Sent Items".

Android Devices

The following instructions will setup your Microsoft 365 email on an Android tablet or smartphone:

  • Access the Google Play Store and download the Microsoft Outlook App
  • When the Outlook app launches, you may be asked to acknowledge one or more introductory messages, dismiss these and eventually you will be asked to add an account
  • Outlook will now look at any email accounts which have been previously configured on your Android device
  • If the email address you want to setup is found:
    • Check the email address you want to setup and tap Add Account
    • The account will be added and you will soon be asked if you would like to add another account; tap Skip
  • If Outlook did not find the email address which you would like to configure, but it found other email addresses, then uncheck all email addresses and tap "Skip"
    • Enter your email address and tap Continue
    • A Microsoft 365 Login Page is displayed; enter your case sensitive password and tap Sign In
    • The account will be added and you will soon be asked if you would like to add another account; tap Skip
  • One or more information pages may be displayed at this time to introduce some Outlook features. You can review this information, or tap Skip
  • Outlook will now display all of your email messages and your account is now configured

iPhone & iPad Setup

The following instructions will setup your Microsoft 365 email on an iPhone or iPad device:

  • Open the App Store
  • Search for, and install, the Microsoft Outlook App
  • Launch Microsoft Outlook
  • Outlook may find your existing Apple account, if so, tap Skip
  • When prompted to add an account, enter your complete Microsoft 365 email address (i.e.: [email protected])
  • After your email address has been entered, tap Add Account
  • A Microsoft 365 Login Page is displayed; enter your case sensitive password and tap Sign In
  • The account will be added and you will soon be asked if you would like to add another account; tap Skip or Maybe Later
  • One or more information pages may be displayed at this time to introduce some Outlook features. You can review this information, or tap Skip
  • A prompt may appear to "Enable Notifications". If you see this prompt, tap "Turn On", then tap "Allow"
  • Outlook will now display all of your email messages and your account is now configured

Outlook Tips

Once Microsoft Outlook is installed and configured to work with your Microsoft 365 email, here's a couple suggestions you might consider:

  • Tap the menu option in the upper left corner
  • Tap the "Gear" icon in the lower left corner
  • Turn off "Focused Inbox"
  • Configure "Organize mail by thread" to fit your needs (turning this Off is recommended)
  • Configure your email signature and other preferences
